About
What I can offer
I offer a warm, gentle, and non-judgemental space where we can work through whatever you need, together. You may wish to explore your experiences, relationships, or sense of self with a trained professional counsellor.
Additionally, my experience in mental health nursing means I am skilled in caring for people with common mental health conditions such as depression or anxiety, through to less common conditions such as schizophrenia or dementia, and supporting family members of people with these conditions.
I have a special interest in helping people living with anticipatory grief as I believe it is under-recognised and with minimal support options.
Everybody has their own unique situations, so if you want to see if we will work well together, please reach out.
Approach
My integrative approach means I am trained in and able to draw upon person-centred, psychodynamic and existential modalities.
Additionally, I can use strategies informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focussed Therapy (SFT) within my scope; I do not offer formal CBT, CFT, ACT or SFT.
Person-centred
With the right conditions people will grow towards what they need. Your autonomy is paramount.
Psychodynamic
Existential
Our relational patterns may have started as early as childhood, but recognising them in the present can help us make better-informed decisions in the future
Exploring what it means to be human and how we live with our own isolation and responsibilities whilst creating a life that is meaningful to us.
